Job Description
***SIGN ON BONUS - $2,500 with 1 year commitment***
General Summary:
Under direct supervision of the office manager and physicians, responsible for the cardiac stress technical duties as well as medical assistant duties.Respond to patients, visitors and fellow team members in a pleasant, helpful and professional manner.Performs delegated medical tasks, assists providers and nursing staff with patient care.Demonstrates leadership by collaboration, teamwork, communication, accountability, customer service and advanced knowledge of clinical skills
Work Experience
Education & Training:High school diploma or equivalent required. Electrocardiographic and arrhythmia course required.BLS and ACLS required.
Work Orientation & Experience:One (1) year experience in the field of electrocardiography required.Experience in all components of non-invasive cardiac testing highly preferred.
Skills & Abilities:Ability to:a) maintain appropriate, professional conduct and appearance at all times, following office dress code consistently; b) complete work in an established time frame, seek appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed or pace is slow; c) demonstrate willingness to perform other duties to assist the team effort for the benefit of the patients, physicians and fellow team members; d) consistently arrive at work on time and completes all tasks or arranges for coverage before leaving for the day or lunch; e) maintain desk and business areas in a professional, neat manner.
Working Conditions
Working in a well-lit environment, occasional in confined areas. Potential for exposure to nuclear radiation, requiring adherence to safety policies including monitoring of radiation badges, Potential for minimal exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous materials, requiring the observance of Standard (Universal) Precautions and safe handling practices. Expected to work day shift, including weekends and holidays as necessary. Will be exposed to frequent interruptions and occasional crisis situations. This position has been classified as medium exposure risk and requires the completion of an annual respirator mask fitting.
Physical Requirements
Standing, walking, reaching stretching and bending throughout most of the work day (5-7 hours per day.) Occasional pushing, pulling. Lifting patients (patients may weigh in excess of 200-250 pounds) and pushing wheelchairs (1-2 hours per day) in accordance with Safe Patient Lifting policy. Visual acuity required for reading computer monitors and patient charts. Acute hearing for hearing blood pressures and receiving and delivery of accurate information. Manual dexterity required for assisting with procedures, utilizing computer keyboards.
