NYC Health + Hospitals/Coler, an affiliate of NYU Grossman School of Medicine, is seeking a Board Certified Urologist to provide outstanding care in urology, ensuring exceptional patient outcomes and comprehensive service delivery.

From specialized rehabilitation equipment to expert wound care, Coler provides a comprehensive range of healthcare services designed to meet the diverse needs of our patients.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The ideal candidate will:

· Work with a team of dedicated attending providers, Nurse Practitioners, and ancillary staff in the Skilled Nursing Facility.

· Provide expert care for urological conditions such as urinary tract infections, kidney stones, prostate disorders, incontinence, bladder cancer, and other urological diseases.

· Develop and monitor comprehensive care plans for patients with chronic and acute urological conditions.

· Perform diagnostic procedures and minor surgical interventions, such as cystoscopies, biopsies, and catheter insertions, as credentialed.

· Collaborate with the Rehabilitation Medicine Team to support patients recovering from urological surgeries or interventions.

· Provide consulting services to other providers and scheduled off-hours telephone coverage for emergencies.

· Interpret diagnostic results, including ultrasound, CT scans, and other imaging as credentialed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Engage with patients, families, and staff based on the organization’s ICARE values.

· Maintain accurate and timely medical records documenting care and services rendered.

· Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure patient-centered care delivery.

· Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients and their families, including updates on changes in condition or treatment plans.

· Support workforce members through education, orientation, and competency-based training.

· Maintain professional competence by participating in continuing education and training.

· Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.

· Follow safety protocols, including infection control and adverse event management.

Minimum Qualifications:

Active NYS Medical Licensure

Board Certified in Urology
