Michigan offers one of the highest cumulative state-funded LRP caps in the country: $300,000 in tax-free funds over up to 10 years through the Michigan State Loan Repayment Program, plus a separate Behavioral Health LRP. Both require service at HPSA nonprofit sites.

Up to $300,000 in tax-free funds across up to 10 years at HPSA nonprofit clinics. Two-year initial commitment, renewable. The employing nonprofit must contribute 20 percent of the agreement amount.

Up to $300,000 in tax-free funds over up to 10 years. Initial 2-year full-time service at an HPSA nonprofit clinic; renewable up to 10-year cumulative.

Michigan Behavioral Health Loan Repayment Program

(MI BHLRP)

MDHHS

Loan repayment for behavioral health providers serving underserved Michigan populations at nonprofit outpatient or public school-based practices. Per-award amount not confirmed in primary source at retrieval.

Award
