New York runs four state-funded clinician loan-repayment programs alongside the standard federal pool: the Doctors Across New York Physician LRP, Nurses Across New York, the Primary Care Service Corps, and the newer Health Care Access Loan Repayment (HEALR) program for Medicaid-serving clinicians. NYSDOH administers all four.

Up to $120,000 ($40,000 per year for 3 years) for physicians practicing in a state-designated underserved area.

Nurses Across New York Loan Repayment Program

(NANY)

NYSDOH and partner agencies (OPWDD, DOCCS, OASAS, OMH, OCFS)

Up to $25,000 for RNs and up to $10,000 for LPNs across a 3-year commitment at qualifying underserved-area state-agency facilities.

Award

RN: up to $25,000 for 3 years of service. LPN: up to $10,000 for 3 years.

NY Primary Care Service Corps Loan Repayment

(PCSC)

Up to $36,000 over 3 years for primary care providers, or up to $72,000 for full-time dentists serving in approved underserved sites.
