GAD-7
Also known as: Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7
The GAD-7 is a 7-question anxiety screening tool. Scores 0-21; a score of 10+ is the standard cutoff for generalized anxiety disorder requiring clinical follow-up. Used widely in primary care and online mental-health intake (Talkspace, Cerebral, Brightside all use GAD-7 as part of their intake questionnaire).
Sister tool to PHQ-9; depression and anxiety frequently co-occur and most modern online-therapy intake screens both.
