Tell us about your Black health journey, the care that saved you, the system that failed you, the provider who heard you. We read every submission. We never publish without your permission.

The Black health experience in America is not one story — it is millions. It is the mother who was dismissed during labor and survived anyway. It is the man who went years without a diagnosis because his pain was minimized. It is the teenager who found a therapist who looked like her and finally felt seen. It is the elder who navigated a system that was never designed for him with grace and determination. Every story matters. Every story shapes how we understand what Black health really means — and what it must become.

Why we collect stories

The Black health experience is deeply personal, and profoundly systemic. Your story helps us report more accurately, build a more complete picture of care in Black America, and advocate for change grounded in lived experience.

How we review submissions

Every submission is read by a member of our editorial team. We never publish your name or identifying details without explicit consent. We'll always reach out first.

What we do with stories

Stories inform our reporting, shape our provider directory focus, and (with your consent) may be shared anonymized, aggregated, or published. You retain control.

Your privacy matters

You may submit completely anonymously. Email is optional. We do not sell or share submissions with third parties.
