On maternal health specifically: Nevada Medicaid + Check Up has extended postpartum Medicaid coverage to 12 months (effective 2022-07-01), and covers doula services through Medicaid at up to $1,375 per full perinatal package (effective 2024-01-01).

Nevada added a Medicaid doula benefit under AB 232 (2023), reimbursing $1,375 per perinatal package from January 2024. The Nevada Minority Health and Equity Coalition has led Black maternal health advocacy in Clark County.

Roughly 95,000 Black residents are enrolled in Nevada Medicaid + Check Up, per the most recent CMS T-MSIS analytic file. The number understates true eligibility: every state has Black eligibles who aren't currently enrolled, usually because of the administrative-churn rates that rose sharply during the 2023 unwinding.
