Join us on Juneteenth for a day of food, freedom, and health knowledge. This workshop is part of our annual Juneteenth Health Day celebration.
Black Americans are 60% more likely to be diagnosed with diabetes than white Americans. This workshop gives you practical, culturally relevant tools to prevent or manage diabetes.
What's included:
- Free A1C finger-prick test (on-site results in 5 minutes)
- Cooking demonstration: How to make your family favorites healthier
- Registered dietitian Q&A
- Movement workshop: gentle exercise for diabetes prevention
- Grocery guide: eating well on a budget
- Free take-home kit with blood sugar log, meal plan template, and resources
Lunch provided. Children welcome.
