The American Heart Association's 2026 Greater Washington Region Heart Walk is Saturday, November 7, 2026, at The National Mall, 10th Street NW (between Madison & Jefferson), Washington, DC 20004. The event opens at 8:00 a.m. and the walk begins at 9:45 a.m., with 1 and 3 mile route options. Registration is free, and walkers are encouraged to fundraise for heart disease and stroke research.
The DC region is home to one of the country's largest Black communities, and heart disease remains its leading cause of death.
